Uncommon Goods

Uncommongoods is a privately owned retailer that features unique jewelry, designer décor, tabletop items and handcrafted (even personalized) gifts. They run all of their operations out of the Brooklyn Army  Terminal in New York (how cool is that!). They stand by the term that it is ‘Better To Give.’ Their lowest paid worker starts at 50% above the minimum wage! Not only are they good to their employees but with every purchase made, they donate $1 to a nonprofit organization of your choice. Since starting this ‘Better To Give’ program, they’ve donated over $1 Million to charities chosen by their buyers!  One of their non-profit organizations they support is called RAINN. RAINN is the worlds largest anti-sexual violence organization that carries out programs to help prevent sexual violence, help survivors of sexual violence and ensure that those who committed acts of sexual violence are brought to justice. I recently purchased the Cityscape Print by Jason Watkins. (Find it here: http://www.uncommongoods.com/product/cityscape-print). When I received the package, not only was it protected and wrapped perfectly but the quality of the print was out of this world. I always hate when I open a package and the item is damaged from shipping. I was so pleasantly surprised with the packing of this item. They also gift wrapped it so nicely (and I didn’t even have to ask!) The print is of the skyline.
